POison dart frog on Davids arm. Its poisonous, hence the name.

Nicky got a crown.

OUr local guide, Lucia, and David, our tour guide, during the jungle walk. She showed us an example of how they use the leaves for rooves and ...crowns.

A dragonfly at night for mum.

Brown frog

Tenny tiny little frog on a leaf.

Our room in the amazon, the balcony was on opposite side, facing the river.

Sunset in the Amazon, upper basin. If you look closely you can see little black specks on the water in the foreground, those are bats.

Mmmm balcony, hammock, sunset, jungle... what more could a girl want.

The canoe ride to the hotel in the Amazon.

More pools. Well, the same one actually.

The hot pools at Papallacta, on the way to the Amazon from Quito. This was the nicest temperature pool. The water flowing from that pipe is super hot, too hot, from a small pool higher up. Apparently the water comes out of the springs at 70*c so they have to mix it with river water.

The funniest sign. ´The sun god certifies that ......has arrived at the MIDDLE OF THE WORLD and stood on the MAXIMUM PARALLEL, at latitude zero, if THIS PLANET EARTH, and thus become a CITIZEN OF THE EQUATOR. Witnessed by the Priest of the Sun God.

The leaves falling due to lack of coriolis effect. See, they fall.
