Baños Rafting and Riobamba

I went rafting today and it was Splashtastic.. we went down the main road out of Baños, past all the waterfalls to the deeper part of the river. We wore wetsuits, mine was green and black.. i felt like a ninja turtle. I like that feeling. Then when we were off on our adventure we got stuck in a whirlpool! it was great...just around in circles paddling hard out and getting nowhere. the guide laughed because we were stuck then we eventually got out and headed down the river. The rapids werent as big as id hoped, but it was beginners i guess :P we got splashed a few times, and got in the water a few times. I was expecting it to be a freezing day because i just assumed it would be like my cold days in Dunedin. But alas, a cold day here is no where near as bad as a cold day in Dunedin. I liked the feeling of hanging out the side as far as i could without falling out. And being at the front..that was good. there were a few times when the guide said Inside, but me and Jill the other person at the front couldnt hear the guide at the back so we missed the que and almost fell. All and all it was funfilled. We got a lunch included but the chips were cooking in the same fat as everything else so i didnt like the taste at all, and we had rice and vegies.We caught our bus to Riobamba and on the way passed a few big volcanos , so cool . We also saw a car packed full of paper plates. Arrived and then got pizza..i ate the entire thing and now my life is complete. :D
